A Noosa Village by the river and lakes

tewantin

Tewantin has for so long been so undervalued because when you spend a day here, you'll discover all its natural assets, old village full of character and its down-to-earth way of lifestyle. Yet it's so close to Hastings street and Main Beach. From here you can jump on a ferry to the beach and all the high street shopping that Noosa offers, or you can enjoy paddling the river and lakes nearby. The Noosa Marina is a popular spot for dining and sundowners, and for a celebration of the ukelele every Wednesday morning. This place has everything. And in housing, in the popular Old Tewantin pocket it offers lovely wide leafy streets still featuring many character homes on double blocks plus a mix of newer luxury homes on smaller split blocks. Then over to the newer Tewantin area on the southern side of Cooroy Noosa Road you'll find a mix of 1980s and 90s brick lowsets. North of Cooroy-Noosa Road is where you'll find the golf course estates such as Heritage Park. With a population of 10,920 based on the 2016 Census, it's estimated there are more than 5,000 houses.
